Likely
Targets
Virtually any organisation
has information that is confidential
and if passed to interested third parties
could cause financial loss and damage
or may compromise Company / National
security. The Company boardroom, the
telephone, the car radio telephone,
the telex, facsimile machine, computer,
typewriter and dictation machines are
examples of sources of confidential
information and are targets for the
eavesdropper.
Eavesdropping need not
be confined to the Company office. Directors
and other key personnel can be targets
at home.
Examples of information
useful to the eavesdropper include:
Product and Service Pricing
Expansion/Take-over Plans
Competitive Strategies
Sales and Promotion Plans
Cost Data
Design, Research and Development
